The conference proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Women comprise papers presented at the Women 2023 conference, which took place on August 11th and 12th, 2023, as a hybrid event in Sri Lanka. The conference was organized by iConferences in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad Off Campus, India; Unit for Research on Women and Gender (KANITA), School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia; and Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies, India, all serving as esteemed academic partners.

Under the theme "Women’s Rights for an Equal World: Issues and Challenges," the conference attracted over 60 researchers from diverse countries, including the USA, Mexico, New Zealand, India, Nepal, Kenya, Israel, Qatar, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka.

This collection of proceedings encapsulates the rich tapestry of discussions, research findings, and insights shared during this global gathering, shedding light on the pressing issues and persistent challenges in the pursuit of gender equality.
